Asymmetrical
words  / music: Daniel Haskin

This is how the story goes
How the wind blows around my heart
And this is where the metal bends
How my life extends through my guitar

But I'm tired of make believe
Tired of dirty knees
Tired of everything that's meant to be

I've been told that every little star
With an asymmetrical guitar has its day
And that every little pretty soul
In lavender and beauty mole will come my way

But I'm tired of make believe
Tired of dirty knees
Tired of everything that's meant to be

Tie together blood, rhyme, and wood
Peal away the pretty flowers if you would
The crowds will only pay if they smell fear
And a pretty death only hides a pretty tear

So this is how they play guitar
With a G and D you'll go real far
My little star

15 Minutes
words  / music: Ray Lorigo

I want my 15 minutes and damn if that's my rite
Call me petty and I'm ready to fight
You've had yours and now it's my turn
I always come on too strong, you'd think I'd never learn

But does it all really matter when you're lying in that bed
A couple more minutes and you know that you'll be dead

The Scenery changes a million times and still that craving is there
Oh my God I just can't decide, are these clothes too dark too wear

I want my 15 minutes and damn if that's my rite
Madonna had hers, it's my turn tonight
Someone get me out of this constant need for fame
How many times do I need to see the correct spelling of my name

But does it all really matter when you're lying in that bed
A couple more minutes and you know that you'll be dead

The Scenery changes a million times and still that craving is there
Oh my God I just can't decide, are these clothes too dark too wear

No Man
words  / music: Ray Lorigo

Sometimes it's just all too much
These many struggles are just such
A wear that leaves upon its mark
A tear that lets in the dark

You are No Man you are all men
The cleverest in the group
Cursed for your arrogance
Hard lessons learned

I really want to trust you, to hold you and to trust you, to be with you and to trust you, but I can't just yet…

Thinking of these things, remembering these things, reliving all these things don't allow me to forget…

From Hell's heart I stab at thee
Someone once said
But to a foamy grave
That one was surely led

But not you – no way
You weathered through it all
Thunderer's sea locked brother
Gave up after all

I really want to trust you, to hold you and to trust you, to be with you and to trust you, but I can't just yet…

Thinking of these things, remembering these things, reliving all these things don't allow me to forget…

Revenge is a bloody dish
For many nights it was your only wish
You got them good – one after the other
There was no one left to be her lover

No Man why did you start this foolishness
All those years ago
Would you still do it
If you were to know

Keep Breathing
words  / music: Daniel Haskin

Everything is glass
Nothing ever lasts
And in my little mind
The TV's show's just fine

I'll just make believe
There's nothing up your sleeve
And everything you say
Won't just fade to gray

I'll just keep on breathing
When everything is gone
Children just keep breathing

You can sing my songs
You can right my wrongs
You can cut my wrists
You're my lover's tryst

So swallow up the sun
Make love to everyone
Dream your little dreams
Life's not what it seems

I will keep on breathing
When everything is gone
Children just keep breathing

Every single day
The meaning slips away
From every little thing
This is not happening

I'll just keep on breathing
When everything is gone
Children just keep breathing

Picture Book Rain
music: Daniel Haskin & Ann Janish
words: Daniel Haskin

Strange how light trips 'cross your face
You take me to this other place
Where we're safe alone in our skin
How I long to breathe you in

You read me like a picture book
Turn a page and take a look
The sacred things laid down inside
Will appear before your eyes

I want to hear your body sing
On the weightlessness of wings
Washing all the rain away
'til there's nothing left to say

I want to hear your body sing
On the weightlessness of wings
Washing all the rain away
'til there's nothing left to say

I want to open you and step inside
So deep and so very wide
Open like a rose red in June
Take you deep into my room

Wipe away this rainy night
And wakeup in the morning light
I want to feel you next to me
Sleeping with your poetry

I want to hear your body sing
On the weightlessness of wings
Washing all the rain away
'til there's nothing left to say

I want to hear your body sing
On the weightlessness of wings
Washing all the rain away
'til there's nothing left to say

Rain, rain, go away
Come on back some other day
Rain, rain, go away
Come on back some other day

Below The Navel
words  / music: Ray Lorigo

Love, I just don't know
But, you seem to be
How, can I be sure
You feel al this for me

You pledge yourself
In front of these
How can I be sure?
You feel all this for me

All these doubts come creeping in
This is not my life
I'm not a thing to win
How do I know this is what I want to be?
When I haven't finished becoming me

Evil, I just don't know
If, this is what the world may be
But something I know for sure
It's as stupid as stupid can be

I pledge myself
In front of these
I am sure
I feel all this for thee

Evergreen and Red
words  / music: Daniel Haskin

Outside the ground is frozen hard
And I can't get to you
I tried and tried and I can't get to you

As the snow chills dark and wet
No I can't get to you
I tried and tried but can't get to you

It's an old time I let slip by
They let you fade away
Like so many broken things
That flutter in the rain

October's roses wilted down
To thorns down to the stem
All wrapped up in evergreen and red

I've seen shadow on the snow
With the passing of my steps
The winter ground smells of regret

Gossamer flakes fallen ice
Wheeling down like sacrifice
Filling holes where you once bled

Ophelia in Pink Electric Blue
words  / music: Daniel Haskin

Ophelia . . . dance in the water
Take off your shoes and float away

I can see you in pink electric blue
You're dressed in white . . . your liquid way

The sun falls down on a beautiful day
And everything's . . . . fine

Just one push and you'll slip away
Shine away

I see through you . .   my imaginary girl
With just one smile . . . you levitate me

So take me down into your luna sea
And let me wash my life away
. . . . so far away

The sun falls down on a beautiful day
And everything's . . . . fine

Just one push and you'll slip away
Shine away
Shine away
